In April of 2024, I was commissioned to create character badges for the then-upcoming Anthrocon 2024. Utilizing my pocket diorama codebase as a springboard, I created badges with eye-catching gyroscopic motion, perspective depth, and motion in a format generally known for static, poster-style compositions.

These badges are entirely based on web technologies. The palettes for each piece were creating using a OKLAB generative color system I wrote for a digital composition in 2023, and the surface-layer UI animations are all CSS-based. One of the badges uses a 3D model for the character, which is rendered live to a texture in the background to emphasize the model’s animation.
